With 5,500 attendees expected for this week’s JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention, this fall’s conference is one of our largest ever.
While this provides an incredible level of energy and tremendous opportunities for networking, it also will undoubtedly lead to some full sessions. We encourage all attendees to look over the convention program closely and have second, even third choices lined up in case their preferred session is full.
We might even be facing a capacity situation in our main auditorium for our general sessions on Thursday night and Friday afternoon. While we know not everyone attends the keynotes, we might be forced to turn folks away should we reach maximum occupancy.
As a result, we’ve elected to live stream both the Thursday night and Friday afternoon keynote sessions at boston.journalismconvention.org. Videos will also be archived for later viewing should you miss the keynote.
What’s more, you can still interact during the general session by tweeting questions to our keynote speaker using #nhsjc. We will be taking questions both from Twitter and from the live audience during the show.
We look forward to seeing you in Boston, and if you can’t make it to the keynote, we also look forward to your seeing us at boston.journalismconvention.org.
